Chevy Tracker Air Conditioning Problem (hot)?
I have a 2000 chevy tracker. Over the past couple months, my AC has been getting warmer and warmer especially when I am stopped or idle. When I hit the gas, the AC gets cooler. When I stop, its normally a lot warmer. Currently the AC blows hot air and very little cool air. I am thinking i need to get the unit recharged, but I am not sure. Like I said, it gradually got warmer over about a 2 month period.
I am pretty sure the compressor is kicking in since I can her the wine of the compressor when I turn on the AC.
Any ideaS?
Well, i bought a refill kit and attached it to my low end. The gauge spikes in the red (danger) almost right away and doesnt really take in any coolant. I have th car on and the AC at max. The compressor is running and the fan is spinning. any ideas?
just get a recharge kit.. they are only like 15-20 bucks and takes less than 10 minutes to empty a can.. get one with a PSI gage included, that way you can see if there are any leaks in your system.
