Probation or take a chance and go to jail?
my best friend has been accused by his cousin 12 years the year of sexually touching for a period of 2 years. It is in the court process and swears he is not guity. He has 2 children and his wife is pregnant. AD is by offering no prisons, a class E crime and 10 years probation. He refused and said he wants a trial. His lawyer said that in this city's chances of wining this case is about 5%. Moreover, if he takes the probation, he could be deported. Any advise worlds? costs of bad for him because he was really look forward the birth of his son.
I would not take the way! In most states a conviction for a sex crime have consequences long life. The DA is looking at the time and expense of a trial and your lawyer to be appointed by the court or lasy and finding the easy way.
