Wine Membership
Wouldn't it have been better if Jesus changed the wine into water?
That would have reduced AA membership a bit, and would have send a sharp message about alcholism. It needn't have been ordinary tap water, but could have been fancy water, like Perrier or Pellegrino.

I don't understand why he changed the water into anything in the first place. Water is healthier than alcohol - they could have gotten along fine without the wine.
I think it was powdered wine - they used to make that, even back then. It's still available today. It's like Kool Aid - mix it with water, you've got wine. Check it out:

Either that or it didn't happen at all, which is far more likely. I think it's very funny that we're supposed to believe that the Son of God had nothing better to do with his time than make sure that there was enough fish and wine for everyone. Maybe that's where the phrase "Heavenly Host" comes from, he he.
