Wine Opener Stand
Someone gave me a bottle of wine. How do I store it until I open it? Fridge or not? Standing up or on side?

It's actually peach and it has rubber cork, not actual cork material.
It is better than real cork because it doesn't break off and get into the wine. It's made a local winery, so yes, it's real and the best! Stonehaus Winery in Crossville, TN!
plastic corks are used when a winemaker intends a wine to be drunk in the first couple years. they don't dry out like regular cork, but they don't provide as tight as a seal so wine can oxidize faster than normal.
what that means for you is that you can stand it up or lay it down, it doesn't matter. just keep it away from light and at a constant temperature. a fridge works well, or a cupboard that is away from heat sources (like an oven, or heating vent.)
