Wine Tasting Party At Home
A good wine to drink?
I went to a wine tasting party last night & it was informative. She brought 5 bottles of wine in for the tasting that to me were ok but nothing i would buy. I like a sweet wine but not real sweet. We were at the table talking after wards and I mentioned that I buy Sutter Home Moscato and 2 of the guests laughed & said they wouldn't serve Sutter Home to friends only enemy's, saying its the worst. Now im no wine expert but I like it. Whats a good semi sweet red or white wine under $20 that I would enjoy & wont get laughed at bringing up in a conversation? Any help would be appreciated
I've had the Sutter Home Moscato.. it's not bad, but not really all that great. However, moscatos tend to be sweeter than all other wines, as they are dessert wines. One of my favorite sweet wines is the Vino dei Fratelli Moscato d' Asti. It is bubbly, a little like champagne but not as bubbly as champagne, but still sweet. It's $10, I live in Texas.. so I'm not sure if you would be able to find it where you live, but I would assume you should be able to. This is kinda what the bottle looks like.. I'd check around at your local grocery stores/liquor stores.
